The Yangtze River

The Yangtze River is the longest river in China. It flows through many places. The river is wide and deep. Many animals live in it. People use the water for farming and drinking. I like the Yangtze River because it is very important to China.

Our Yangtze River

We call the Yellow River our "Mother River" and we also see the Changjiang River as our "Father River" since these two rivers are the source of the civilization of Chinese people. My childhood is closely associated with the Changjiang River. When I was young, my father often took me to the riverside. I was always struck by the beautiful scenery of the river. The water was pure, clean and blue. Some birds flew down, scraped the water and roared up suddenly and some grass floated in the water quietly.

The Yangtze River is a very famous river in China. It is the longest river in our country and one of the longest rivers in the world. It starts from the high mountains in Qinghai Province and flows all the way east, finally emptying into the East China Sea. The Yangtze River is like a giant dragon that winds through China's land. Along its banks, there are beautiful landscapes and rich cultural relics. Many cities, like Chongqing, Wuhan, and Nanjing, thrive by its water.
